Healing Gong and Drum Sound Journey

At this event you will be immersed in a kaleidoscope of rhythm and harmony created by the healing gong and shamanic drum. The magnificent breadth, depth and diversity of sounds that these instruments create is unlike anything we experience in our ‘normal world’. As well as the healing energies that these instruments bring, their sound ‘crowds out’ the mind space that most of us use to worry and ruminate. So they offer a great way to let go, take time away from the stresses of everyday life, and set our spirit free. Being immersed in these remarkable sounds tends to bring people whatever experiences they need in the moment and no two experiences are ever the same. Some people might fall into a nourishing, trance like sleep. Whilst others might experience altered states of consciousness or feel bodily sensations associated with physical healing. “…when the sound began I thought; ‘if the stars could sing this is what they would sound like’…” Sandy F FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS: WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING? Many people choose to enjoy this experience lying flat on the floor. So if you want to do this then please bring your own nice, comfy yoga mat(s), or equivalent, to lie on. Also a pillow for your head and a light blanket to keep your body warm as you relax deeply. If you want to experience the event in full darkness you might want to bring along an eye mask as well (the kind of thing you use on a long haul flight etc.). If lying on the floor doesn’t appeal to you then you could bring along a nice comfy collapsable chair to sit on - the kind of thing you might use for a camping trip. Or if you are into mediation you might want to take your journey in meditation pose, in which case an appropriate mat, stool or cushion might be a good idea. DO I NEED TO BOOK? Space is limited at this venue, particularly if most people choose to lie on the floor. So it is worth booking your ticket in advance, if you can. If we have available space then we do take admission at the door: £15.00, cash only.
