The Power of Thankfulness

Leigh-on-Sea, UK

Spiritual Development

Have you ever noticed how people who seem to have everything in life always seem to be ungrateful. They are never satisfied with what they have got and want more, always complaining about things. Yet on the other hand those who seem to have been treated badly by Life such as those who have a life debilitating illness or a disability are thankful for what they HAVE got. They appreciate the small things in life that we all too often take for granted. They are thankFULL for each day and what it may bring.

One of the sayings that my father used to say to me before he passed away was “Count your blessings”. That is something that I try to do each day - be thankful for what I HAVE got and realise that I have so many things to be thankful for.
