Father Ravasi at the Shrine of the Virgin of Guadalupe

Father Javier Ravasi will offer Mass at the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe in La Crosse, Wisconsin, on Sunday, July 13, at 11:00 a.m. This Eucharistic celebration will be a special occasion to gather in prayer and Marian devotion in one of the most significant places for the Catholic faithful in the region. Following the Mass, Father Ravasi will give an enriching talk entitled "Grace and the Profound Meaning of the Sacrament of Baptism." This talk will take place at 12:30 p.m. in the crypt of the shrine church, a welcoming space that invites spiritual reflection and dialogue. During this talk, Father Ravasi will explain how baptism is the gateway to Christian life, the importance of this sacrament as the first encounter with divine grace, and how to fully live out one's baptismal commitments in daily life. There will also be an opportunity for questions and an exchange of ideas at the end of the presentation. This event is completely free and open to the entire community. Families, godparents, catechists, and anyone interested in deepening their understanding of the Catholic faith are especially invited.
