The first day of this 3-day course covers massage techniques for Pre-Sport and Post-Sport Massage, equivalent to warming-up and cooling-down muscles all sportspeople need to get the best performance possible. This includes: Core Manual Health & Safety Hygiene and Sanitation Personal Appearance Professionalism Personal Safety Consultation Insurance Introduction to Sports Massage Benefits of Sports Massage Consultation Contraindications Consultation form Contra-actions /Aftercare advice Planning for a Sports Massage The Sports Massage Techniques Oils for Massage The Sports Massage Routines for: Pre-event Post-event Training/maintenance Sports Injuries The 2nd and 3rd days of this course in Sports Massage concentrates on specific muscle groups and covers the Sports Massage routines to assist with: Iliotibial band syndrome Hamstrings Calf Strain Achilles Tendon Buttocks Upper Back and neck Lower Back Arms The 4th day is your assessment day, after you have completed your case studies. Pre-Requisite: There is a pre-requisite of Swedish Massage course, or similar full-body Massage, prior to taking this course. A qualification in Anatomy & Physiology is also required.
