Spiritual Practice, Ethics and How to Hold Space

In this full day workshop, Olaf will invite the enquiry of what it means to be a teacher and healer in the esoteric and holistic field of alternative therapies. Beginning with an opening meditation Olaf will then explain some of what goes on within his energetic field and how that creates the space he then uses for the day. How he keeps the space safe and sacred and the importance of responsibility, both as a facilitator and as a participant. Discussions will be based on key aspects that have helped guide Olaf’s teachings throughout the years and will include some of the following: • what does it mean for you to be a spiritual/alternative/ holistic healer in today’s world? • what safeguards need to be in place, for yourself and your participants if any? • how to spot a vulnerable client and does it matter? • where do you go for support/ supervision and do you need it? • is there a right way to hold energetic space? • how to keep the space safe for your participants and yourself • ways to manage conflict • recognising the need for self-care at the end of a day / session Who is this workshop for? This is for anyone who holds space, would like to know how to hold space and would like guidance as to how this can be attained. The information can be transferred to any space holding environment and is not just limited to the esoteric field.

College of Psychic Studies
HOST:
College of Psychic Studies - The College was founded in 1884 by a group of eminent scholars and scientists. Its purpose was to facilitate formal investigation into the psychic and mediumistic phenomena that were such a topic of debate in the Victorian era. With great courage, this group of distinguished people, some notable in science, others from within the ranks of the Anglican clergy, defied the prevailing canons of respectability in order to proclaim to a world of increasing materialism that human personality survives bodily death and that this is capable of demonstration.
