Ayahuasca Retreat Programs at Ayahuasca FoundationAyahuasca Retreat offerings from the Ayahuasca Foundation are a chance to understand the roots of our afflictions, and to gain the courage to face our fears. Our programs help people to find the strength to make profound changes in their lives to achieve goals of health and happiness. By venturing deep into the jungle and feeling the tranquility and peace of this vast paradise, our vibrations begin to harmonize with the flow of nature, slowing the mind down to a level of subtle observation. The rainforest is old and wise, beyond human comprehension, and it contains the answers to questions that humans cannot ascertain by themselves.

During the Ayahuasca Retreats, participants attend ayahuasca ceremonies and they also receive a variety of traditional plant remedies. Receiving treatment from an authentic indigenous shaman, or curandero, is an opportunity to discover the answers to many of the personal questions each person has. Retreat participants are able to replant their spirits in nourishing soil, free from the environmental toxins that caused their illness or sorrow.

A Path of Healing
With a well nourished spirit, we can all begin to heal our afflictions. With the help of the spirits of the plants, animals, ancestors and the forest itself, the curandero guides each person on a path towards a state of total health, at peace in the body, mind, and spirit. Finding that path is an essential part of the healing process, but walking the path is what makes the healing a reality. Only you can walk your own path. We provde continued support and guidance after the retreats, in the form of continued contact via email and social media, as well as counseling from professional shamanic therapists that work with the Ayahuasca Foundation.

The Ayahuasca Foundation offers ayahuasca retreats at our Chamisal Healing Retreat Center and the Riosbo Ayahuasca Research Center. All of our retreats are led by indigenous curanderos from the Shipibo tribe. The roots of the tradition employed at each retreat is the same, but each program is also unique and catered to the individual groups and people that attend. Ayahuasca retreat programs at the Chamisal Retreat Center are either two or three weeks long and feature either six or nine ayahuasca ceremonies, respectively. Programs offered at the Riosbo Research Center are either eight days or four weeks long and feature three or twelve ayahuasca ceremonies.

Healing Treatments
Much more than just ayahuasca retreats, all of our programs feature a multitude of additional treatments beyond the ceremonies, including plant baths, vapor baths, smoke baths, inhalants, purgatives, massage, counseling, and any internal or topical medical treatment that might be required to heal particular illnesses or afflictions. We strive to provide the optimal care and treatment possible in the time that we have with each retreat participant.

Spiritual Growth
Our aim is to provide you with the optimum environment for you to replant your spirit. All treatments and activities are optional, so go at your own pace. Two or three weeks is a relatively short period of time in a human being’s life, and we really see this process not as a complete and final solution to your problems, but rather as a new beginning, a foundation on which to build over time, providing inspiration for your spiritual growth.

We are also here to let you know that anything is possible. What we have found is this: the people who take responsibility for their own healing, put their trust and faith in the plants and in us, let go of expectations and truly commit themselves with intention to their process. These people always get what they need, unfolding into the most profound depths of inner transformation possible for them, and are then gratefully ready to continue the work of integrating their experiences for the rest of their lives.
