"Matthew Shiel shone" (ThisWeek Culture) Join us in a collective trance state as we explore the hypnotic relationship between music, yoga and relaxation with minimalist piano music by award-winning film composers Ludovico Einaudi, Yann Tiersen, Philip Glass and Max Richter alongside some Scottish folk piano peices. The Yoga Concerts are a creative collaboration between Swedish yogi Mimmi Demitri von Pezold and the award-winning Scottish concert pianist Matthew Shiel. Each yoga concert combines gentle and healing yoga movements accompanied by live acoustic piano improvisation and performances of meditative piano music. The yoga style is gentle and healing and is suitable for all ages, body types and abilities. You are welcome to bring your own yoga mat or you can borrow one (free of charge) during the event. Beginners are welcome, as are intermediate and advanced yoga practitioners who are looking for a new and enlightening experience. These candlelit concert experiences are a wonderful way to wind down after a busy week - ticket includes a complimentary spiced chai tea to enhance the relaxing experience.
