National Day of Prayer Initiative's Regional Gathering

As you may know, God has used Bishop David J Singleton to lead the National Day of Prayer in downtown Rochester for the last 10 years. On May 4, 2023, the National Day of Prayer Initiative's first ever Regional Gathering will be held in Rochester, New York. It will be a public demonstration of the body of Christ’s dedicated support to strengthen our communities and nation in prayer. We cordially invite you to attend the Opening Ceremony at City Hall on Thursday, May 4, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. At 11:45 AM, we will form a "Human Prayer Chain" around City Hall and the Monroe County Office Building. After the blowing of the shofars and the ringing of church bells at noon, clergy will initiate the simultaneous prayer. You can also participate remotely via Zoom at https://us02web.zoom.us/j/85321979064 (no passcode required). If ever there was a time for the Body of Christ to UNITE in prayer in downtown Rochester, we are looking for over 10,000 of the Body of Christ to be in attendance to form the Prayer Chain. With your help, WE CAN MAKE IT HAPPEN THIS YEAR and God will be glorified! During the National Day of Prayer we will gather in public places to call on the name of Jesus, the Name that is above every other name. It is a joy and blessing to be able to join others of faith. This is a time to join our hands in prayer across denominational, ethnic and geographic lines, and across those many other barriers that have divided us unnecessarily for so long. Though we may worship differently, and some of our doctrines may differ, we believe and subscribe to the truth that Jesus is Lord of all. The Body of Christ should stand united.
