Sundays are for Soundbaths: Anahata Mousai

Sound baths can create states of deep relaxation and meditation, enabling stress, tension, and sometimes pain to release from the body. As the mind slows down, the brain shifts into an alpha wave state, which can produce a sense of well-being, help lift depression, open up creativity, and promote self-healing. Anahata Mousai is a trio of sound healers from the Antelope Valley. Members Jean Monte, Kristen Cramer, and Moriah Cain Gross banded together in 2017 to offer a unique brand of sound healing to people throughout Southern California. They have developed particular quartz crystal singing bowl harmonies and combined them with gongs, hertz sound frequency tubes, and various instrumental flourishes to create an immersive, relaxing and rejuvenating sound bath experience for listeners. Jean Monte has spent her life studying various healing and spiritual modalities. She is a kundalini yoga instructor, gong yoga instructor, Reiki practitioner, student of shamanism and nature-based spirituality, and a poet. Kristen Cramer is a long time resident of the Los Angeles area. She practices yoga and daily meditation amongst other holistic healing practices. She enjoys the healing vibrations of crystal bowls and the power they have to align the chakras. Moriah Cain Gross is an East Coast transplant who has found her tribe here in Southern California. She practices kundalini yoga, meditation and shamanism, is interested in plant medicines, and aspires to become a yoga instructor and certified sound energy healer.
