Meditative Kirtan Evening

Kirtans are the arrangement of mantras set to musical notes and rhythms to invoke deep feelings in us of pure divine love, celebration, remembrance and gratitude. The Sangha community Kirtan is a beautiful mix of traditional Eastern mantras with Western melodies and harmony. Through kirtan we can guide our awareness to a place that is quiet and still. Each time our wandering minds come back to the mantra, we take a step towards our inner self, to find new meaning, new dimensions, new experiences and a new colour to life. In a group of people participating, the process of kirtan can become much deeper and long lasting. You are encouraged to participate through listening, singing, swaying, dancing, clapping – however life wants to express itself. Sonya, Daisy and Neil are experienced yoga teacher and musicians. They have been touring around Europe, the UK and India to share Kirtans. Their journey started in the South of England with yoga teacher training and intense yoga sadhana for many years. During this time they became established in leading regular kirtans and have played at many yoga studios, spiritual festivals and released two albums. They seek the stillness and silence within and are dedicated to sharing the journey of sound and yoga as a joyful, collective means to experience deep connectivity with existence. As a collective they offer sound, kirtan and meditation immersions for those who wish to establish themselves in these transformative practices.

College of Psychic Studies
HOST:
College of Psychic Studies - The College was founded in 1884 by a group of eminent scholars and scientists. Its purpose was to facilitate formal investigation into the psychic and mediumistic phenomena that were such a topic of debate in the Victorian era. With great courage, this group of distinguished people, some notable in science, others from within the ranks of the Anglican clergy, defied the prevailing canons of respectability in order to proclaim to a world of increasing materialism that human personality survives bodily death and that this is capable of demonstration.
