Linking the 5 elements / seasons, moon phases and female cycle

By Laura Goss
I have never been someone to dive too deeply into any subject wholeheartedly because I find too many things interesting and get easily bored. Therefore I don't know a lot about many things but I DO know a little about many things and love to find links.

This is one example.

Over the last few years I have begun to find out more about the moon cycles- how I am effected by them and how to use the energy of each moon to my benefit. The same with my menstrual cycle. Earlier this year through kinesiology I learned about the 5 elements and patterns between all the above started to become clear.

Why become aware of these cycles?

If we can work with the flow of nature in its elemental/lunar/ female energy, feel how connected / cyclic everything is; we can heighten our intuition and increase manifesting powers. This can benefit us in all areas of life. As women in particular we can sometimes feel pressure to compete with men, be consistent all the time. Awareness of our natural cycles in our bodies and with nature can help us go more with the natural flow of life and lead to a happier more peaceful existence.

How to use:

Ok, so at any one time we may be experiencing different phases of each cycle. I would recommend using the 5 elements/seasons when looking at big plans or the bigger picture. It is helpful to look at them not just with the year in general but also with projects and relationships.

As females our menstrual cycle is a day to day short term priority and it is vital to our emotional and physical health that we respect these.

I use the moon phases when setting intentions / asking the universe for something. To manifest and to let go of things. In spring this year I slept outside in my tent for a month. My previously un-synced cycle, in one month, suddenly synced to the full moon.
