Meditative Drawing and Journaling

Gather in community for an hour of meditative exercises, drawing and journaling to explore your inner life. Open yourself to the insights that can come from drawing your thoughts and feelings. We'll also do some journaling to integrate the experience. Each session starts with a meditation and a free write. Then you'll enjoy a relaxing soundtrack curated to move you into an open and receptive state of mind. Using the music as inspiration, you will draw and allow the shapes to emerge effortlessly. To integrate the experience, we will continue writing then share reflections. This is a great stress-relieving activity to do as you wind down for the night. Open to women from all ethnic, racial or spiritual backgrounds. No experience is needed. This event is for adults only. Bring something to write with for the journaling exercises. For drawing, bring colored pencils/pens, crayons, markers and sheets of paper, preferably unlined.
