A Journey around the Medicine Wheel - The Element of Water

In this workshop we continue our journey around the Medicine Wheel and exploration of the four elements by focussing on the element of Water. We will explore ways to get to the heart of this most mysterious of elements and the emotional and spiritual themes that go alongside it. The waters are rising around the planet, our river systems have been dammed and our seas are polluted. All this reflects how much we have dishonoured this most sacred and life giving of elements, not only externally but also within ourselves. How do we change this course and begin to celebrate and honour the gifts the waters bring and in doing so reconnect to the sacred well spring of life? How do we get to know our own depths, that can lie hidden beneath the surface? How do we dive deeply and drink of all that life offers, embracing the tears, sweat, sacrifice and letting go, that water can ask of us? How do we recognise our blessings and connect to others and to love? We will explore all these themes and more using shamanic trance, ritual and ceremony to assist participants to gain a deeper relationship with the water and her allies.

College of Psychic Studies
HOST:
College of Psychic Studies - The College was founded in 1884 by a group of eminent scholars and scientists. Its purpose was to facilitate formal investigation into the psychic and mediumistic phenomena that were such a topic of debate in the Victorian era. With great courage, this group of distinguished people, some notable in science, others from within the ranks of the Anglican clergy, defied the prevailing canons of respectability in order to proclaim to a world of increasing materialism that human personality survives bodily death and that this is capable of demonstration.
