Science shows that your body is constantly listening and responding to your thoughts. This principle can work both for us and against us. Learn how Yoga Nidra with the use of intention can be used to positively affect your health and thinking patterns while in deep states of relaxation. Using science and simple experiments, see for yourself how powerful thoughts can be and how easily they can be shifted. Gain an understanding of what Yoga Nidra is and how it can be of benefit to you. Learn the difference between Yoga Nidra and hypnosis and how Kamini believes that Yoga Nidra can be used to deeply heal and rejuvenate the body from the inside out. Understand why intention combined with Yoga Nidra is so much more powerful than affirmations and intentions used in the wakingstate. We will end with a mini-experience as an introduction to this practice. For over 20 years Kamini Desai, PhD, has created an exciting body of teachings combining western psychology and eastern philosophy. Trained at Kripalu with degrees in Anthropology and Psychology from Smith College and La Salle University, Kamini has served as Director of Wellness at Yarrow, an executive retreat centre in Michigan, and on faculty of the Foxhollow Leadership Centre. She is also the developer of the core program curriculum of the Amrit Yoga Institute. Her hands-on, experiential style of teaching has been welcomed in over 10 countries including England, Holland, Belgium, France, Portugal, Turkey, Iceland, Italy, Jamaica, The Bahamas, Mexico and throughout the United States and Canada. Kamini is certified as an E-RYT in yoga instruction.

College of Psychic Studies
HOST:
College of Psychic Studies - The College was founded in 1884 by a group of eminent scholars and scientists. Its purpose was to facilitate formal investigation into the psychic and mediumistic phenomena that were such a topic of debate in the Victorian era. With great courage, this group of distinguished people, some notable in science, others from within the ranks of the Anglican clergy, defied the prevailing canons of respectability in order to proclaim to a world of increasing materialism that human personality survives bodily death and that this is capable of demonstration.
