The Language of Flowers: - talk and demonstration

In ancient times the wisdom of flowers and the power of their magic was well known - a truth carried forwards into the Victorian era. More recently, these beautiful manifestations of nature have been passed over in favour of the magic of herbs and gems. This evening, Edwin will reintroduce the spiritual language of flowers and how they can be used to read for a person, heal them and offering a blessing. He will speak about the spiritual mechanics that under pin their magic and share a simple technique that everyone can try to imbibe the power of flowers for self healing. He will also offer a demonstration of flower reading explaining how this simple practice can be done to a profound and deeply spiritual level. Edwin Courtenay would describe himself as one of the ‘Cunning Folk’ a term used in the 15th century to describe those naturally gifted with psychic, spiritual and mystical abilities which they would use to help those in their community. A Pagan-a follower of the old ways of nature and the world-and a practising magician, Edwin works with ritual, ceremony, chant and song to heal and awaken, empower and transform.

College of Psychic Studies
HOST:
College of Psychic Studies - The College was founded in 1884 by a group of eminent scholars and scientists. Its purpose was to facilitate formal investigation into the psychic and mediumistic phenomena that were such a topic of debate in the Victorian era. With great courage, this group of distinguished people, some notable in science, others from within the ranks of the Anglican clergy, defied the prevailing canons of respectability in order to proclaim to a world of increasing materialism that human personality survives bodily death and that this is capable of demonstration.
