Kabbalah and the Divine Feminine

It could be any soap opera on the television today. But this is a much older production; a blockbuster told by over 20 generations of feisty and powerful women, every one of whom still has something to teach us today. We will learn of the different levels of humanity and how rising to the place of the soul can transform our own lives just as the heroines of the Bible discovered. They can be our guide to our own soul’s purpose and learning the mystical truths behind their stories can heal our own wounds with religion. Maggy will weave the story of Sophia, the feminine wisdom tradition from Lilith, Adam’s first wife, to Mary Magdalene via the women of the Bible - including Sarah (survival), Rebekah (ego), Ruth (self-knowl¬edge), Jael (discernment) and Esther (unconditional love). We will look at these matriarchs and heroines through the filter of Judaic mysticism and historical and social fact to see how they can still inspire us today. Each of them is an archetype within us and can show us our strength - and our shadow.

College of Psychic Studies
HOST:
College of Psychic Studies - The College was founded in 1884 by a group of eminent scholars and scientists. Its purpose was to facilitate formal investigation into the psychic and mediumistic phenomena that were such a topic of debate in the Victorian era. With great courage, this group of distinguished people, some notable in science, others from within the ranks of the Anglican clergy, defied the prevailing canons of respectability in order to proclaim to a world of increasing materialism that human personality survives bodily death and that this is capable of demonstration.
