Tarot and Woundology - Soul Mate, Wound Mate - Do we Know the Difference?

This workshop uses the symbolism of tarot to explore the difference between a soul mate and a wound mate. It is geared towards anyone who would like to have a greater awareness of complex emotional arrangements and how they present themselves when giving a consultation. The question of whether a significant person is a soul mate is one that is frequently asked in a consultation. Sometimes that person we are close to can actually be a wound mate and the bond is one of attachment through seemingly shared suffering. By using tarot to understand the depths of personal relationships and the observation of life choices and cycles, we can help empower the people who come to see us to recognise and break toxic bonds, allowing in new relationships filled with love and positivity. We will be using tarot symbolism and spreads in various exercises, chakra work plus looking at film clips, literature and discussion to find out what a soul mate and a wound mate means to us and how they show up in our lives. This provides an opportunity for personal healing as well as giving insight as to how you can work with this theme with clarity and compassion when giving a consultation. You will also discover the emotional narrative of the wound mate/ soul mate. What will I gain from this workshop: tarot readers: you will be encouraged to engage with your cards in a way that offers a deep and powerful alliance. Mediums and psychics: you will be able to enhance your skills, working intuitively with the cards, giving greater emotional insight to your sittings.

College of Psychic Studies
HOST:
College of Psychic Studies - The College was founded in 1884 by a group of eminent scholars and scientists. Its purpose was to facilitate formal investigation into the psychic and mediumistic phenomena that were such a topic of debate in the Victorian era. With great courage, this group of distinguished people, some notable in science, others from within the ranks of the Anglican clergy, defied the prevailing canons of respectability in order to proclaim to a world of increasing materialism that human personality survives bodily death and that this is capable of demonstration.
