Yin Yoga & Deep Relaxation

Take some time out to relax. To nourish and restore your energy. WORKSHOP: Monday 8th January | 6:45pm-8:00pm | £10 | £8 early bird | £12 on the door DESCRIPTION: Arrive to a cosy candlelit room and a relaxing herbal tea. The evening will open with a meditation to find stillness, leaving any busy minds behind. We will practice a deep nourishing sequence of long passively held floor poses using support from bolsters, blankets and blocks. This yin practice has numerous benefits. Physically enhancing your natural range of motion in the joints, releasing deep layers of connective tissue. Energetically enhancing the flow of prana (lifeforce) in the tissue around the joints, where often energy stagnates, and mentally conditioning you to stay with sensations that may arise in the body and finding peace and stillness within. We will focus on breathing techniques to promote relaxation and end the class with a deep yoga nidra relaxation incorporating massage, sound healing and reiki. The practice will be accompanied by uplifting music and the use of essential oils to promote a calming effect on the mind and body. Coming out of relaxation with some herbal teas, chocolate and freshly made vegan treats. Suitable for all. For beginners & the most advanced yogis. A nourishing practice for pregnant women & postnatal. Children welcome if this practice is suited to them.
