For both cunning folk and layman alike, we have a line up of some of the best authors and speakers on this topic around today in the UK. Tickets can be purchased through Event Brite (link below). We are offering Early bird Tickets of £20 from 1st Jan:2017 until 1st March - Then tickets will be £25 until 1st June rising to full cost of £30, so get your tickets early to save money and guarantee a seat. Teas and Coffees will be available all day and we advise you to bring a packed lunch .There are cafes and shops nearby, as the venue is close to the town and accessible by car bus rail and near the local airport for those traveling from further away. The venue has all amenities and lifts with outside gardens and a small car park and off road parking. Speakers Gemma Gary Gemma Gary is a British ‘Old Craft’ initiate, an occultist, writer, artist, traditional ‘guise’ performer and a trustee of ‘Friends of the Boscastle Museum of Witchcraft’. Her written work explores witchcraft and folk magical traditions, often with a focus upon these traditions as found in Devonshire and Cornwall. Andy Mercer Andy is a writer, occultist and member of the Folklore Society. Also a native of Essex; Andrew has long been fascinated by the practice of folk magic in the UK and particularly its origins. Andy has had two books published to date. ‘Liber Coronzom’, which focuses on the work of Elizabethan magus John Dee and ‘Runen’ a study of Germanic Runes. His next work, for Three Hands Press, is a compendium of ‘Darker’ folklore spells and charms. Michael Clarke Michael is a modern day cunning man who has revived traditional folk magic techniques that were once prevalent in the agricultural communities set in the roots of his native East Anglia. He has given talks on Pagan and Occult subjects for many years and is one of the founders of the Great Yarmouth and Gorleston Pagan Moot. Richard Ward Richard has had long a standing interest in the traditional folk magic of his native Essex. Richard has had articles published by the late Mike Howard’s Cauldron magazine and Pagan Dawn. He has also recently had his first book published, Echoes from the Primal Grimoire. Martin Duffy Lives in Sussex, England and writes on the subjects of folk magic, mythology and the occult arts; in particular the manner in which they relate to traditional witch-lore and practices. Martin's first title for Three Hands Press is The Devil’s Raiments, treating the subject of traditional ritual vestments and attire, and their symbolism. His latest book, concerning image magic, is Effigy: Of Graven Image and Holy Idol. Martin has also written for 'The Cauldron' and 'the Clavis Journal' (Speakers may change if due to unforeseen circumstances ) Tickets non-refundable unless event cancelled.
