Annual Sukkah opens in The Broadwalk Centre for local community

The Broadwalk Centre in Edgware is delighted to announce that in celebration of the Jewish festival Sukkot, a Sukkah will once again be positioned in the centre's car park from Monday 2nd October in conjunction with the Lubavitch of Edgware. The Sukkah, a temporary hut used to spend time in during the festival of Sukkot, enables the local community to experience what it would be like to be exposed to the world and its natural elements. This acts commemorates the years that the Jews spent in the desert on their way to the promised land, and celebrated how God protected them from the elements. Angela Brooks, Centre Manager at The Broadwalk Centre, commented: "We have hosted a Sukkah at the centre for our shoppers and local residents for a number of years now and pride ourselves on working closely with the Lubavitch of Edgware to provide a space in which our local community can celebrate the Sukkot Jewish holiday. I look forward to welcoming those who would like to come and use the installation." The Broadwalk Centre will be hosting a variety of Jewish celebrations in the upcoming months.
