The Broadwalk Centre set to celebrate Rosh Hashanah

From Thursday 21st September until Friday 22nd September, The Broadwalk Centre in Edgware will be taking part in celebrations to mark Rosh Hashanah - the Jewish New Year. Throughout the day shoppers visiting the community shopping centre will be treated to the sound of the Shofar blown and free apples and honey on both afternoons - symbolising a "sweet" new year - courtesy of Rabbi Sudak, Director of the Lubavitch of Edgware. The giving out of sweet foods, like the apples with honey, has been a tradition in Rosh Hashanah celebrations for many years and is now widely accepted as a key part of the Jewish New Year.
