Mark’s initial training and study were in in Mindfulness meditation and breathing practices, which he has learnt from teachers whilst travelling over the world including in China, India, Thailand and Indonesia, from 2007. His main practices are now Tantric meditation.

Mark teaches Buddhist practices, Meditation, and spiritual mentoring for the centre and via his website www.marknicholls.org

Mark is also accomplished in the knowledge and art of Tea ( The use of tea was first practised by Buddhist monks ). Mark has taught Tea and Tea tasting / Tea meditation around the world and shortly at the centre and has appeared in the media. www.zenteaguru.com

In the midst of the current global environmental crisis, Mark is committed to using his insights gained from exposure to far-flung remote communities around the world to explore the relationship between contemplative practice, nature, veganism, and sustainability, whilst applying the wisdom of mindfulness, compassion and awareness towards a new way of peaceful living, which he mentors to others. Mark is also an active volunteer for Essex Welfare Services and The Royal Voluntary Service.

Jo Slater - I'm the founding Director of the Centre, Zhi Ling is an ordained Buddhist teacher and runs meditation and healing sessions weekly and Mindfulness courses monthly. She is a huge advocate of teaching and promoting the benefits of meditation and visits schools, groups and organisations within the local community giving talks and workshops.
