Why would you want to learn to meditate? The health and wellbeing benefits are well researched; but people learn to meditate for a variety of reasons: Health Spiritual Awakening Inner Peace Improving Concentration Enhancing personal or professional performance Inspiration Creativity Quality of life Self understanding Self empowerment There are different techniques and different types of meditation, and this class will help get you started by covering some of the basics upon which you can build. You will learn: * What meditation is * The benefits * The science * The technique * Creating your own calmness daily With hints and tips and a class handout sheet, this class is suitable for beginners and people of all ages. Chairs are provided for the meditation. The meditation is not aligned to any religious group. Attendees will also get priority place on my 4 week course start 28 March, which specifically introduces you to meditations for 4 different aspects of life and health: mental, emotional, physical and spiritual.
