The Big Retreat Wales is back! From May 25th-28th the Big Retreat Wales is held overfour fantastic days dedicated to restoring your wellbeing, reconnecting with nature and allowing you the charge to relax and enjoy great music and entertainment. Set in the heart of the stunning Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, with views of beautiful Cleddau Estuary, this fantastic - and growing - festival is perfect for everyone with under-12s going free. With a wide array of activities, classes, talks and events - all included in the ticket price - you can do do as little or as much as you want. From live music to cookery workshops, yoga, dance and fitness classes to bushcraft, gin and cakes, there really is something for everyone. Highlights include: • Over 200 classes and workshops included in your ticket price. • Enjoy a cooking demonstration from Alana Spencer, winner of the Apprentice 2016 • Fancy living off grid? Be sure to learn some skills from Buzzard Chris Bushcraft • Join a Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Ranger for a walk along the Cleddau Lie back and enjoy an eclectic mix of music from bands including the Welsh indie-roots group Rusty Shackle and acoustic rock duo The Sun Dogs. Country pop singer-songwriter Rosey Cale brings her distinctive voice and lyrical honesty while the Cappa Ceilidh Band promise to get you on your up on your feet! Boost your inner calm with a visit to the festival’s wellbeing dome where you can relax and enjoy classes from pilates, yoga, meditation, back care, mindfulness and many more. Treat yourself to a reviving therapy in the Massage Station with a choice of Reiki and massages (not included in ticket price). Or join Jade Mellor for a wild foraging walk and workshop with the chance to taste her amazing food. Gin lovers take note…fancy an adventure in gin? Each evening join in to learn how to make the perfect G &T and sample some of the unusual, distinctive and wonderful gins being made in the UK and across the world. Activity Pembrokeshire are offering festival-goers the chance to take to the water on a paddle-board or kayak or why not take the family on a Swallows & Amazons canoe adventure (extra costs apply)? Kids will love the art and craft classes, singing and dancing workshops, special kids disco and zumba classes. Budding scientists can join the team from the Darwin Centre for experimental workshops and music lovers will enjoy jamming on one of George Parfitt’s unique handmade guitars. There will be fantastic, fresh food treats throughout the weekend to suit meat-eaters, vegetarians, vegans, chocoholics and cake-lovers! Throw into the mix the chance to relax around a cosy campfire or knock up some grub on one of the fire pits dotting the site and you have all the ingredients for a perfect Festival.
