Gong Sound Journey

At this event you will have a chance to experience the magnificent breadth, depth and diversity of sounds that the planetary gongs create. Unlike anything else we experience in our ‘normal world’ their sound ‘crowds out’ the mind space that most of us use to worry and ruminate. So they offer a great way to let go and take time out from the stresses of everyday life. Being immersed in the sound of the gong tends to bring people whatever experiences they need in the moment. The gong experience changes rapidly as the listener relaxes into it and no two experiences are ever the same. Some people might fall into a nourishing, trance like sleep. Whilst others might experience altered states of consciousness or visions. “…when the sound began I thought; ‘if the stars could sing this is what they would sound like’. As the sound got louder and louder I felt like a flower was opening up inside my head…” Sandy F Most people choose to experience the gongs lying flat on the floor. So if you want to do this then please bring your own nice, comfy yoga mat(s), or equivalent, to lie on. Also a pillow for your head and a light blanket to keep your body warm as you relax deeply. If you want to experience the event in full darkness then you might bring along an eye mask as well (the kind of thing you use on a long haul flight etc.). If lying on the floor doesn’t appeal to you then you might want to try bringing along a nice comfy collapsable chair - the kind of thing you might use for a camping trip. Or if you are into mediation you might want to take the journey in meditation pose, in which case an appropriate mat, stool or cushion might be a good idea. Please note that space is limited so we strongly advise that you book your ticket here to ensure your place. If the session is not fully booked we will take admission at the door, in which case the price will be £20 cash only. Doors will shut at 7.30 p.m. prompt or when the space is full, whichever is the earlier, after which, no further access will be available until the session has finished. For contraindications and lots more information please check out our website at www.gongspace.org. Concessions are available, if you feel this might apply to you or for any general enquiries please contact [email protected].
